The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a good option if you're looking to buy a mid-priced mop and robot vacuum. It's a great mopping capabilities, but is lacking some of the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.

During testing it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium-pile. It doesn't employ LIDAR however, like cheaper models do to identify your home.

1. IRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum with self empty vacuum is one of the most highly-rated robots. It has impressive cleaning power and a variety of features, including the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. It can also learn your habits of cleaning and suggest automatic schedules to ensure you have a hands-free experience.

Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once the system is in place, you can start automatic vacuum cleaner robot cleaning with a single button press. You can choose an overall clean that focuses on getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as cereal and rice or two detailed maps of your home to ensure your entire home is properly arranged.

This robot vacuum performs well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It can pick up pet hair and also suck big objects up. It doesn't lose suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It's not able to work with carpets that are high-pile or plush, but iRobot claims that future models will be better.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that focuses on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba that uses an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes that this will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's an improvement over the hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are widely used however we found it to be just marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also has an advanced filtration system which blocks microscopic particles and allergens recirculating in your home. It's a nice claim, however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the price tag.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors to store the arrangement of your home and vSLAM to map the interior. It then cleans your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo other obstacles. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundaries so that the robot knows which areas need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those on higher-end models. And its mopping system is even better because its spinning pads scrub your floors much better than a vibrating pad.

It's only downside is the lack of a second brush to allow for deeper cleaning. However, that's not a big deal if you want to own one of the best robots available. The dust tank on the robovac is larger than many of its competitors and filling it up only takes two or three times, even when you have maximum dirt.

As for the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. The two lowest mopping settings that are less powerful than the high-powered ones, create little noise, so you can work or even watch television without being distracted. It will gently bump into furniture or walls, and then move away whenever it comes across one.

What really distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost completely on its own, with no need for user intervention. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that automatically transfers physical trash to the bin hidden in the background, as well as cleans and drys the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app will only inform you when something is not right, such as the water tank being empty or a cancelled vacuuming session due to the bin being full.

You can also create and merge actual rooms to customize how the Q Revo manages your home. This feature is useful for those who have different flooring in different areas of your home or if you need to regularly clear out clutter such as toys, clothes and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, removing dirt from carpets and hardwoods in its first run. It can even clean up spills that are wet but I would suggest drying them with a cloth before sending the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a high-end robot vacuum and mop combo and more. It comes with an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has self-cleaning bases that automatically empties and washes mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for use again. It also comes with a brand new sensor system that is able to better recognizes obstacles, giving it the ability to avoid falling over furniture and other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this model is sleeker and more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best robot vacuum for thick carpet and pet hair known for Bang & Olufsen products). While still quite big--it's over two feet high and deep and weighs almost four pounds--the robot and its base are much smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it charges faster and can handle a complete cleaning of approximately 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also comes with a larger and more robust dustbin that can store more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

Lastly lastly, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app and a voice assistant that works offline, which means you can manage it even when not at home. It also has additional mopping modes as well as a smart routing feature which allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead just following a set route.

The Omni Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested due to its rotating mop pads that remove tough stains and a motor that produces plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is top-notch, and it boosts suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It also has a large battery that can last for weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as effective as anything we've seen in an ordinary robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium robot vacuum and mop that comes with a host of convenience features that you don't often see on robots in this price. It can make detailed floor maps and detect different flooring types. It's also among the few robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These are nice features but they also place the L10s in the premium category. This could make it more expensive than what homeowners want.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It is slim and tall, with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a large bumper, which protects the vacuum and furniture from damage when moving around the house. In the pane in the front is an additional navigation technology with sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, there's one button that acts as an on/off switch. Pressing this will activate the vacuum, and clicking it again will turn off the makita vacuum robot and send it back to its base station. The center of the control panel has the circular menu which allows you to select cleaning modes, schedules, and preferences. The left and right buttons will open the settings of the app where you can customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map your home. This creates a detailed floor plan that allows the robot vacuum and mop effectively, without getting stuck in cluttered areas. The LIDAR also helps the affordable robot vacuum vacuum detect and Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo avoid obstacles, which is a nice feature for families with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability, clearing 98.4% of debris from our hardwood floor test and removing all but the most difficult juice stain. The mops also work well, removing 98.4% debris from our carpet, tile, and wood tests. However, it wasn't as efficient in dealing with sand on the floor, or quaker oats on the carpet.
