The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a fantastic choice if you are looking for a ilife robotic vacuum cleaner vacuum and mop that's priced in the middle. It gives a great mopping experience but lacks the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

In tests it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats out of medium-pile carpets. It doesn't use LIDAR, however, like cheaper models do, to map your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the top-rated robots. It comes with a variety of features and impressive cleaning power, such as a dirt compartment that is built into the base of charging. It can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest automatic schedules to provide a hands-free and effortless experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning functions with the click of the button. You can select a general clean that prioritizes the removal of large debris such as cereal and rice or two detailed maps of your home to ensure your entire home has a clean and tidy appearance.

This robot vacuum is effective on floors that are unfinished and carpets with a low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and sucks large objects up. It doesn't lose suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It's not the best robot vacuum for carpet time with plush or high-pile carpet, but iRobot says it will get better with future models.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that concentrates on improving the edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that uses flat-fronted D-shaped designs. The company hopes this will allow it hug walls and furniture. It's an improvement over the hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are common, but we found it only marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with an advanced filtration system that blocks micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating in your home. We think it's a nice claim however, it's not enough to justify a premium price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to keep track of the structure of your home, and vSLAM to map your interior. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles, such as stairs and other barriers, and to tidy up your entire house in the most efficient manner possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, as well as set up virtual boundaries, so it knows to avoid areas that need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that combine mopping and vacuuming the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vac settings are just as efficient as those found on higher-end models, and its mopping system is even better. Its spinning pads do a much more impressive job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibration pad.

The only issue is the lack of a second brush to allow for more thorough cleaning. However, that's not a problem when you're looking to purchase one of the best robots on the market. The dust tank on the robovac is larger than its competitors, and filling it up only takes two or three cycles, even when you've got a lot of dirt.

In terms of the mopping device, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub hard-to-clean dirt from my floors. The two mopping settings that it has that are less powerful than high-powered settings, produce little noise, so you can work or watch television without getting distracted. If it comes into contact with an object, such as a wall or piece of furniture it gently smacks into it and moves along.

What sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly completely autonomously, requiring only a little for user intervention. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that can automatically transfer physical trash into the bin hidden from view, as well as washes and drys the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app is good at alerting you when something is in need of attention, like the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled vacuuming session being cancelled because of a full dust bin.

You can also create and merge rooms to modify how the Q Revo will treat your home. This feature is useful if you have different flooring in different areas of your home or when you have to frequently clear out clutter such as clothes, toys, and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was one of the top performers in my tests, removing dirt from carpets and hardwoods on the first pass. It can vacuum up even wet spills. I recommend drying them with a towel before sending it into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum that comes with all the features you can need. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum with a powerful suction to clean carpets and hard floors, plus an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also comes with an auto-cleaning base station that automatically empty and cleans the mop pads, ensuring that they remain them clean and ready for use again. It also has a sensor system that recognizes obstacles better which allows it to avoid falling on furniture and other objects.

The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this model has a sleeker, more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). While still quite massive--it's nearly two feet tall and deep and weighs in excess of four pounds--the robot itself and its base are much less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This model is more efficient than the X1 because it charges more quickly and can clean up 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a larger and more durable dustbin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

Finally, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app as well as a voice assistant that works offline, which means you can control it even when you're away from home. It also has a smart routing feature that lets it clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of following a set path.

The X2 Omni is the most effective mopping robot. Its rotating mop pads remove tough stains and its motor produces plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding, and it also increases suction when it detects a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It is equipped with a large, rechargeable battery that can last up to seven days. The mopping mode of the robot is also powerful.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a high-end mop and robot vacuum that comes with a variety of features that you don't often see on robots in this price range. It has the ability to create detailed floor maps, detect different flooring types and is one of the few to automatically wash and dry the mop pads. While these features are great but they also put the L10s Ultra in the luxury category, which might make it a little more expensive than what some homeowners require.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's slim and tall with a white finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper, which protects furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage while moving through the house. In the pane in the front is a second navigation technology with sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, there's a single button that essentially is a switch for on and off. Pressing this will activate the vacuum, and clicking it again will turn off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The control panel is an oblique menu that lets you select cleaning modes, schedules, and preferences. The left and Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo right buttons will open the app's settings where you can alter the way the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technology to map out your home. This creates a detailed floor plan that helps the robot vacuum and mop with ease without getting stuck in cluttered areas. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and identify them, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or small children.

The L10s Ultra is a powerful vacuum cleaner, removing 98.4 percent of the debris we test on hard floors, and taking out all but stubborn juice staining. Its mops also do a great job, removing 98.4 percent of debris from our carpet, tile and wood tests. It wasn't as effective at removing sand from the hard flooring or quaker oats off the carpet.
