The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great option if you're looking to buy an affordable mop and robot vacuum. It gives a great mopping experience, but it lacks the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

In tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium pile. It doesn't use LIDAR, however, as other models do, to locate your home.

1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It has impressive cleaning power and a variety of features that include the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. This robot can recognize your habits of cleaning, and suggest automated schedules that will give you an effortless cleaning experience.

The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once the system is set up, you can start automated cleaning with a single button. You can choose an overall clean that focuses on the removal of large debris such as rice and cereal or go for two thorough mappings of your area to ensure your entire home has a clean and tidy appearance.

This vacuum works well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It can pick up pet hair and sucks large items up. It doesn't lose its suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with high-pile or plush carpet, however iRobot says it will get better in the future with new models.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that is focused on enhancing the edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that has flat-fronted D-shaped designs. The company hopes this will allow it to fit into the furniture and walls. It's an improvement over the hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are widely used however we found it only marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ comes with an advanced filtering system that blocks microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating within your home. It's a nice claim, however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the price tag.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to store the structure of your home, and vSLAM to map the interior. This allows it to avoid obstacles, like stairs and other barriers and also to clean your entire home in the most efficient manner possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and schedule cleaning times, and set up virtual boundary markers, so that it can recognize areas that require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those on higher-end models and its mopping system is better still--its spinning pads do a much better job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

It's only downside is the lack of a second brush to allow for more thorough cleaning. However, that's not a big deal if you want to own one of the best robots on the market. The robo-vac's dust tank is also bigger than those on many of its competitors and takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even at the highest dirt level.

As for the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings that are less powerful than the high-powered ones, create low noise, which means you can work or even watch television without getting distracted. If it comes across an object, such as a wall or piece of furniture, it gently bumps into it and moves on.

The Q Revo is unique in that it can run almost autonomously, with little user involvement. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that can automatically transfer physical trash to the bin hidden from view and cleans and drys the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app will only notify you when something is not right for example, low water levels or a canceled vacuuming session due to an empty bin.

You can also combine or create actual rooms to alter the way Q Revo handles your home. This feature is useful if you have different flooring in different areas of your house or in the event that you have to regularly remove clutter, such as toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, taking dirt from carpets and hardwoods in its first run. It can vacuum up even wet spills. I recommend drying the area with a towel prior to sending it to.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum that has all the features you can wish for. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum with a powerful suction to clean hard and carpet floors, as well as the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough staining. It also has a self-cleaning station that automatically washes and cleans the mop pads to keep them clean and ready for reuse. It also has a new sensor system that better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to prevent falling over furniture and other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it has a sleeker, more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best robot vacuum for thick carpet and pet hair known for Bang & Olufsen products). While still quite massive--it's nearly two feet in height and depth and weighs in excess of four pounds--the robot itself and its base are less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This model is more efficient than the X1 since it charges faster and cleans 1,500 square feet in one charge. And it has a larger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris, making it easier to empty when needed.

It also comes with a smart routing function that lets it clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of following a predetermined route.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a top-quality model that has a range of features that aren't typically found on robots of this price. It is able to create precise floor maps and recognize various flooring types. It's also one of the few robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. Although these features are great but they also push the L10s Ultra into the category of luxury, which might make it slightly more expensive than some homeowners require.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's tall and slim, with a white finish, accentuated by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper, which helps protect furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage while moving around the home. In the pane in the front is a second navigation technology that is comprised of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, there's a single button that essentially acts as an on/off switch. This button will activate the vacuum. By pressing it again, you can shut it off and send it to its base station. The control panel is the circular menu which allows you to select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons below the screen will open the settings menu of the app where you can alter how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technology to map out your house. This allows the robot to clean and mop efficiently, without getting stuck. The LIDAR also lets the robot vacuum detect and avoid obstacles and obstacles, which is a wonderful feature for households with children or pets.

The L10s Ultra is an extremely powerful vacuum cleaner that removes 98.4 percent of the debris we test on hard floors and Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice staining.
