Although Anker-owned Eufy has earned an impact in budget robot vacuums, it's not yet an all-in-one model which can also mop. The X8 Hybrid is a new model that has a wide range of features that are advanced and is able to compete with more expensive models.

The laser navigation system is the main selling point of this machine. The previous Eufy devices have constructed an approximate map of your home using infrared sensors and bumping into objects however the X8's laser mapping technology is far more precise. It also takes a lot less time to build up a comprehensive picture of your space and stores multiple maps, which is great for multi-floor homes.

The X8 is still a decent vacuum on bare floors and can sling debris over its side brushes and into the 400ml dust bin with ease. The X8's tyres, cheap Robot Vacuum despite their circular shape, are very efficient at grabbing corners and edges. It's not a great kitty litter picker, though as our tests show it can only remove about 90 percent of the fur from hard floors.

There's a basic mopping mode that utilizes the same water tank as the vacuuming. While this is good for loose spills but you cannot regulate the amount of water it uses and this will reduce its effectiveness for more severe stains. It's effective of removing pet hair. It has a higher rate of pick-up than the Roborock S7.

3. Miele RX2

Known for quietly effective home appliances, Miele's RX2 robot vacuum has excellent cleaning power, gorgeous design and great navigation. It has some oddities in its operation that keep it from being considered the top smart robot vacuum.

The RX2 is equipped with a dual-sensor mapping technology that makes use of LIDAR to map the space, and a pair 3D scanning cameras for detecting and eliminating obstacles (such as furniture legs or pet waste). Once mapped the app allows you to assign virtual no-go areas and favorite sections that the robot will clean automatically. You can also alter the cleaning modes, start an automatic clean or see a live feed of the onboard cameras from the main screen.

The sensors of the RX2 work well in registering furniture and other obstructions in real-time. The suction and sweeping capabilities are outstanding, effectively removing surface litter from medium pile carpeting and also removing embedded dust on bare floors. But it's not the most agile robot on the market. As with many others it's not a great climber and has trouble with things like thresholds made of metal transition strips.

A lot of people purchase a robotic vacuum to enjoy the convenience of setting a schedule in an app and then forgetting about it for weeks at a time. 4. Shark ION

This budget robovac that looks just like the other, but comes with a few more features and is more efficient. Its intelligent mapping system creates 3D and 2-D maps of your home and makes use of them to navigate and avoid obstructions. The controls are more basic than those of the competition's. There's a clean button on the top and you can choose to start it by using the app or by voice commands using Alexa or Google Assistant. If you're looking to buy a basic, no-frills robot vacuum for a reasonable cost, the Eufy11S might be your best bet. It's not equipped with some advanced features such as Alexa integration and digital mapping that are found in higher-end models. If you don't require these features, you could save money.

This robot is easy to set up and use. It does not require a smartphone application or Wi-Fi pairing. However, it does come with a remote control which allows you to choose between different modes and alter the suction level. You can also manually send the robotvac on an cleaning schedule.

In our tests, we discovered that the 11S was extremely efficient in cleaning dirt and fur from carpets with low pile and hard floors. Its slim profile allowed it to get under low-hanging furniture and other objects that heavier robots were unable to get at. It is more sophisticated in its automation than the majority of its competitors, such as the ability to create virtual boundary markers with its mobile app. Although its app isn't the most responsive, and the 980 does spin out a bit while rolling over cables, it's a very capable robot vacuum.

One thing we really like about the 980 is that it uses its iAdapt 2.0 navigation sensors and visual simultaneous localisation and mapping technology (or vSLAM) to store the floor plan of your home. It then uses this information to design a consistent and efficient cleaning path for each cycle. The result is cleaner floors and a more efficient vacuum than most competing high-end robot vacuums.

Other features of the 980 include dual multi-surface brushes that grab dirt on carpets and hard floors and the spinning brush that sweeps debris into the robotic vacuum’s bin. Its floor tracking sensors help it navigate between furniture and around edges, while Cliff Detect helps to prevent the Roomba from falling down the stairs. It also automatically returns to the base station for simple recharges between sessions. The bin capacity and battery life of the 980 aren't as good as some other robot vacuums. However, it is an extremely reliable and sturdy machine that can keep floors clean for a long time. hours.
