The Q Revo is an excellent option if you're looking to buy a mid-range robot vacuum and mop. It has a great mopping capability, but it lacks certain of the more advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

During tests, it was able remove pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium-pile. It doesn't employ LIDAR however, as other models do, to locate your home.

1. IRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It offers impressive cleaning power and plenty of features, including the self cleaning robot vacuum-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. This robot can learn your habits for cleaning and suggest automatic schedules to provide you with a truly hands-free cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once everything is connected, you can start the automated cleaning process at the touch of one button. You can choose a general clean which focuses on the elimination of larger debris such as rice and cereal. Or you can opt for two thorough mappings to ensure that your entire home is thoroughly cleaned.

This robot vacuum is effective on both bare floors and low-pile carpet. It sucks up large items and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as other models do, and it can even remove pet hair without much difficulty. It's not able to work with high-pile carpets or plush carpets, but iRobot says that future models will be more efficient.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which concentrates on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's a great improvement over the hockey puck-like design of the majority of robovacs. However, we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also features a superior filtration system, which prevents micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating in your home. We think this is a nice claim but not enough to justify a premium price.

Its smart navigation system utilizes sensors to remember the arrangement of your home and vSLAM to map the interior. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles, like stairs and other barriers, and to clean up your entire house in the most efficient manner possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and set virtual boundary markers to ensure that the robot is aware of the areas that require attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robot that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vac settings are as effective as those of more expensive models and its mopping system is even better. Its spinning pads do a much more impressive job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

The only issue is that it lacks an additional rubber brush for deeper cleaning, but that's a small cost to pay for if you are looking for one of the top robots available. The dust tank of the robo-vac is bigger than most of its competitors. Filling it up takes only two or three cycles, even when you've got the most dirt.

In terms of the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. The two mopping settings that it has which are less powerful than high-powered ones, create minimal noise, meaning you can work or even watch TV without being distracted. If it encounters the wall or a piece of furniture, it gently bumps into it and moves forward.

What really makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost completely on its own, with no need for human intervention. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that automatically transfers physical garbage into the bin hidden from view, as well as washes and dry the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app is capable of alerting you when something requires attention, such as the clean water tank running low or a scheduled vacuuming session being cancelled because of a full dust bin.

You can also create or merge actual rooms in order to alter the way Q Revo handles your home. That's a handy feature if you have multiple areas of the home with different flooring materials or there's some clutter that must be cleared out regularly, such as toys, mop clothes and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, picking up dirt from carpets and hardwoods in its first run. It is able to vacuum up wet spills. 3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a top-quality robot vacuum and mop combo and more. It has the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with a self-cleaning base station that automatically empties and washes mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for use again. It also comes with a brand new sensor system that is able to better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to avoid falling over furniture or other objects.

The biggest improvement to the ECOVACS X1 Deebot is its sleeker, more modern design. While still quite big--it's over two feet tall and deep and weighs in excess of four pounds--the entire robot and its base are less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

Additionally, it comes with a larger dustbin that is more durable and can hold more debris which makes it easier to empty when needed.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that works even if you are not at home. It also has a smart routing feature that allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home, instead of following a set path.

Its vacuuming performance is outstanding, and it also increases suction when it senses carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It comes with a huge rechargeable battery that lasts up to one week. The mopping feature of the robot is also extremely effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium mop and robot vacuum that comes with a variety of convenience features you aren't likely to find on robots of this price. It is able to create precise floor maps and recognize various flooring types. It's also one of the few robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. While these features are useful however, they also make the L10s Ultra more in the category of luxury, which might make it a little more expensive than some homeowners require.

Its mops also perform well in removing 98.4% debris from our carpet, tile and wood tests. It wasn't as effective at removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oatmeal from the carpet.
