In my testing it, the Combo J7+ did a great job at avoiding spraying water onto the rug. The robot didn't attempt to pass over the rug, even after I moved it around several times.

The arm has a 240mL tank that can be easily removed and filled, making it simpler to operate than the mop pads of many other 2-in-1 robots. It also makes use of the iRobot's PrevisionVision obstacle avoidance technology which is more sophisticated than some models of this kind.

iRobot Combo i5

iRobot can recognize household clutter, such as shoes, bags, cords and toys. It will then stop and return to the docking station, allowing it time to recharge and complete the cleaning task at a later date. It is compatible with voice commands like Amazon Alexa and Apple Siri, and understands about 600 voice commands. This is more than any other 2-in-1 robot.

iRobot Combo j5

This robot vacuum and mop from iRobot is a good choice for homes with carpets and hard floors. It utilizes intelligent mapping and eliminates obstacles to efficiently clean. It provides a variety of mopping options including the SmartScrub system for removing tough staining. It is also able to set No Mop Zones so that carpets won't be sucked up. The dock can refill the mopping fluid in a timely manner. This model is more expensive than the earlier Roomba Combo J7+ but offers more features.

Its patented Mopping Drive System applies pressure to the floor for more thorough cleaning and eliminates tough stains. It can also reach under furniture and into tight spaces to give an efficient clean. The Combo J5+ is compatible with the iRobot Clean Base for automatic dirt removal.

iRobot Combo i3

The iRobot Combo i3 is an updated version of the Roomba i3. It still comes with a HEPA-filter to trap allergens and the same fantastic dust compartment that is outside, but it now supports smart mapping. This means you can set up no-go zones to stop it from vacuuming those areas again. The i3 Plus still has a bunch of other excellent features too like its advanced cleaning system with 10x power-lifting suction and three-stage cleaning process. It also features a textured exterior to ward off dust, fingerprints and pet hair.

It removes most dirt and is a great choice for bare flooring, but had issues with pet hair when used on carpets with low pile. It does an excellent job on carpets with a lot of pile and is much quieter than its competitors. The i3 costs a little more than the Roborock S4 Max, but it has a self-emptying system that cleans the mop pads and refills the reservoir with water.

With the i3 app, you can set up schedules for cleaning at a specific time to suit your needs. You can also control your robot via your voice assistant to start or stop cleaning. It can also track the unique layout of your home to offer a customized cleaning routine and schedule. It utilizes the latest mapping sensors to guide you through carpet and hardwood and also learns your routine to optimize performance.

iRobot Combo i2

The Combo i2 is the latest robot vacuum and mop from iRobot. It combines iRobot’s smart floor cleaning technology to make it a perfect option for homes with hard flooring and rugs or carpets. The Combo i2 has a combo system that allows it to switch between vacuuming or mopping by pressing the button. It also comes with iRobot's advanced navigation technology. Its PrevisionVision system is far superior to the standard and will not encounter obstacles like power cables and stairs.

Its Smart Map remembers your rooms and your personal cleaning preferences. It can tell if the machine is in a room which requires a special attention, like a kitchen or living area. It also has the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System that eliminates dust automatically for up to 60 days.

The dual multi-surface brush is yet another excellent feature of the Combo i2. They provide a deeper cleaning than standard mops by removing more dirt the corners and along edges. This is possible due to the onboard acoustic sensors. The Combo i2 is also equipped with powerful suction, and an intelligent design. It can be controlled using the iRobot App, voice assistants and an adjustable calendar.

iRobot Combo i1

The Combo i1 robot vacuum can also mop. When the unit detects that a surface needs to be cleaned, it lifts and then swings it under using a robotic cleaner and Mop arm equipped with the cleaning pad. The back is equipped with a dustbin and a water tank that can be removed to supply cleaning solution. The robot is equipped with a Bona cleaning product, but it can also be used with other brands.

The Combo i1 is unlike most robot vacuums because it can bring the mophead back to the top of the robot when it senses carpet. It can sweep the carpet, then wipe it clean using its microfiber cloths. This iRobot robot vacuum and mop is great for anyone who wants to clean and tidy home without having to lift a finger. It comes with an integrated docking station with an incredibly low profile, which occupies a small space. It also has a movable dirt compartment. The compartment is made of opaque plastic, so you can't see what's inside. The i4 also lacks certain features, like zones to keep out and AI-powered obstacle avoidance that is found on the j7 and+ models.

It does however have an efficient cleaning system as well as a pair of rubber brushes that aren't caught in pet hair.
